We SO enjoyed our time at Woofstock in Damariscotta - just a couple photos from the day!

Here are two alumni - "Buddy Bear" now Ben Bear is the handsome yellow fellow above and he was adopted this year into a wonderful family. Charlotte, now Kimchi, was adopted way back in September 2008! Beautiful and lucky sweeties!

We were also joined by our adoptable cutie Chester who arrived with his foster brother Rhett who was adopted over a year ago from Lucky Pup. These little guys were a big hit and Chester is still looking for a loving forever home that has at least one other dog in it.

What a beautiful day for a walk at Deering Oaks! Vendors, pooches and their human pals, food, and fun! We were thrilled to be visited by some of our alumni pups - Maggie, now Ivy (brown and white) was adopted in April of this year and is doing great! Blake, now Baxter, was adopted in January and Chanel, now Penny (photo on left) had JUST been adopted within a few days and what a beautiful girl she is!

We recently participated in a bowl-a-thon to support our rescue. Vacationland Bowling in Saco hosted us and we had 5 teams of bowlers - the Gutter Pups, Retriever Achievers, Halliday Farm Hounds, Who Let the Dogs Out?, and the Stumpy Tail Gang!

Check out our wonderful friends and junior bowlers! Glow bowling was a blast!

Not only did we have a great time but we raised over $700.00 for the rescue to send Baxter for training!

Thank you especially to Crystal for organizing and Donna and the Gutter Pups for the unbelievable fundraising job! Our new friend Santos even came all the way from Mexico to bowl with us!

Upcoming Autumn Events!

Lucky Pup Rescue will be involved in some very fun autumn events in the next few weeks!

October 11 at the beautiful waterfront Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport: From 12-5 Lucky Pup Rescue will have a booth at the Gathering of the Scarecrows craft fair. Please come and see what kind of life-size scarecrow we have created!

October 16: Then, on Saturday, October 16 there will be a gathering of all the scarecrows on the green from 1:00 to 3:00 in Kennebunkport, followed by a parade and activities for kids. We will have a table at that event too, with some baked goodies!

Also on October 16: The 10th annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival in Saco, Maine! Lucky Pup Rescue will have a table at this fun-filled event. What a great way to get out with the family and enjoy the brisk autumn weather. Don't forget to drop off your pumpkin! Events run from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be free musical entertainment, a chili cook-off, a haunted house, pony rides and wagon rides, a pie-eating contest, and lots of other events, including games for the kids. LPR will be there along with Sooper Dogs for a Howl-O-Ween Pawty for Dogs (next to the post office on the green). At 3:00, don't miss the "Best Dog Costume Contest" followed by the "Best Trick or Treat Contest".
