Molly is a sweet young mother! She was nursing 4 beautiful pups and they were dropped off at a shelter without her; luckily she was tracked down within a couple of days and has been able to take care of them and wean them. She is only about 1 and 1/2 years old herself, is an Australian Shepherd mix, and about 35 lbs. She's a little shy - she's been through a lot in her short life! She's on her way north to a foster family but please consider giving her a stable life in a permanent home!

Shasta is an adorable young girl, about 6-8 months old. She is a Mountain Cur/Shepherd mix.
She is a little shy, whenever someone tries to take a picture of her she closes her eyes! Shasta is very gentle, and will make a great pet for anyone! She should grow up to be a medium sized dog. Mikah was brought to the shelter by her previous owners in September. She was a much-loved part of the family but her dad got called overseas and they could not take her. She is a large, almost 2 year old Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She loves to run so she would be great in an active family. Her former owner reported that she was housebroken, crate-trained and loved attention, especially getting her belly rubbed. She did like to jump on houseguests so some manners training will help her. She was originally adopted from a shelter in Colorado so this girl is a real traveler. Mikah will be coming to Maine for foster care in January; please consider giving this girl a permanent home - no more moving around for her! Mikah is spayed and up to date on all shots and medical care.

Sadie is a mini-cutie! At about 4 months old, Sadie is a small rat terrier. She has a lot of energy and loves to play (typical puppy!) She loves attention and needs a forever family to give her all the affection she deserves. She is coming to foster care in Maine in mid-January to socialize with new puppy friends. You can come and meet her if you might like her to join your family! She is spayed and up to date on all shots and medical care. She's ready to travel north - might you be the family for her?

Check out Suzie! She is a lab mix, right around one year old. She was found as a stray in November so we don't know about her previous ownership, but she is gentle and sweet as can be! She is in foster care with three other dogs and a cat, so no problems getting along with other pets and people! She does some cute things like commando crawling along the ground! She is a medium-size dog and can be shy at first; she's just waiting for that forever home to provide her with love and a family to trust. She is on her way North this month - another cutie!

How about handsome Gabe? He is a large Doberman Pinscher mix who was surrendered in November with his mom and siblings. He is less than one year old and quite gentle for a big pup. He is neutered and up-to-date on all his care. He's coming to New England soon to be fostered so you can meet him if you'd consider providing him a loving forever home!

Sweet Misty Girl! 1/17/08 Look at this beautiful Misty! She was originally a Katrina dog - she was found during the storm next to her mother who had died. After being raised for a bit at a southern shelter, Misty was adopted but her family kept her tied outside all the time. They finally relinquished her and her buddy Jake, a chocolate lab, and Misty has been at the Marion shelter since 10/07. She was initially very timid and not much is known about her former life, training, etc. except that she does not love cats. She is coming to Maine soon to a foster home so that you can meet her. She is a little over two years old, a border collie and lab mix, is a medium-size dog at about 60 lbs, and is a favorite of staff and visitors.
